El próximo 10 de marzo se llevará a cabo la 96° edición de los premios de la Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas, conocidos como los Oscar, la ceremonia más importante del mundo del cine a nivel internacional, donde, como es tradición, se celebra lo mejor de la industria cinematográfica.

La ceremonia se llevará a cabo en el teatro Dolby de Los Ángeles, Hollywood, Estados Unidos. En Chile, se espera que la gala comience a las 19:00 horas, mientras que la ceremonia se encuentra programada para las 21:00. Los Oscar 2024 serán transmitidos por en canal de pago de TNT, sin embargo, podrá ser visto a través de Max (exHBO Max).

La lista de nominaciones se encuentra encabezada por “Oppenheimer”, del director Christopher Nolan, el cual compite en 13 categorías: Mejor película; Mejor director; Mejor actor protagonista (Cillian Murphy); Mejor actor de reparto (Robert Downey Jr.); Mejor actriz de reparto (Emily Blunt); Mejor diseño de vestuario; Mejor guion adaptado; Mejor maquillaje y peinado; Mejor banda sonora; Mejor diseño de producción; Mejor edición; Mejor sonido; y Mejor fotografía.

De cerca le sigue “Poor Things”, de Yorgos Lanthimos, con 11 nominaciones, mientras que “Killers of the Flower Moon”, de Martin Scorsese, ostenta 10 nominaciones. “Barbie”, de la directora Greta Gerwig, logró ocho nominaciones; “Maestro”, de Bradley Cooper, obtuvo siete nominaciones a la estatuilla dorada.

PELÍCULAS CHILENAS NOMINADAS

La presente ceremonia de los Oscar podría ser una de las más importantes para el cine chileno. Lo anterior se debe a que el certamen nominó a dos largometrajes nacionales: “La Memoria infinita”, de Maite Alberdi, documental que competirá en la cateogría “Mejor Documental de Larga Duración”; y “El Conde”, de Pablo Larraín, que buscará el Oscar por “Mejor Fotografía”.
